On Tuesday, April 10, Anythink will host a special story time and musical event at Anythink Commerce City with the author of this year’s One Book 4 Colorado selected book. The event, which will also be live-streamed on Anythink’s website, is an opportunity for community children and caregivers to interact with nationally acclaimed storytellers. Attendees will also be given a copy of the book, available in English or Spanish.
This year’s One Book 4 Colorado finalists include “Penguins Love Colors” by Sara Aspinall, “A Pet for a Fly,” by Tedd Arnold and “Groovy Joe: Dance Party Countdown” by Eric Litwin and Tom Lichtenheld. The winning book will be announced Monday, April 9.
One Book 4 Colorado promotes early literacy by providing all 4 year olds in the state with access to an exceptional and recently published book. The project is a collaboration between Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne’s office, the Colorado State Library, Denver Preschool Program, the Colorado Office of Early Childhood, public libraries, the private sector and non-profit communities. Copies of this year’s book will be available in English and Spanish at all Anythink libraries.
This event is free and open to the public.
