April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and also includes National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Members of the city’s Victim Services Unit will join police officers at the April 17 meeting to talk about support for victims of crime and reporting options for sex-related crimes.

CCPD hosts regular community meetings around the city to:

• Listen to your questions and concerns
• Talk about city happenings
• Provide information about recent crimes
• Discuss how community members can work with the police to reduce incidents
• Provide resources and help address traumatic situations
