Refuge Day at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Experience Wildlife Close to Home at Refuge Day on October 19!

Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge week and Go Wild In Your Park at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge at our FREE, annual Refuge Day celebration for the entire family on October 19, 2019, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Visitor Center.

Event activities include archery, wildlife activity booths, black-footed ferrets, wildlife arts and crafts, face painting, and Nature’s Educators with live raptors! Explore Refuge trails or take the wildlife drive to see bison, deer, hawks, black-footed ferrets (an endangered species), and more! All activities are geared for family fun and a great way to connect with nature! The event is FREE and no reservations are needed.

Directions to the Refuge: The Refuge is located at 6550 Gateway Road. From I-70, exit Quebec Street going north. Turn right at Prairie Parkway/64th Avenue. Turn left at Gateway Road. Follow Gateway Road through the Refuge entrance gate. The Visitor Center is straight ahead at the crest of the hill.
