Norgren will discuss her book Colorado's Highest: The History of Naming the 14,000-Foot Peaks. There will be a Q&A session and copies of the book, beautifully illustrated by John Fielder’s stunning photography, that will be for sale by cash or check. Jeri Norgren is a member of the Colorado Humanities Colorado Center for the Book Speakers Bureau and has spent most of her life exploring Colorado’s mountains. As a member of the Denver Fortnightly Club, she has authored numerous papers on a variety of topics, including the nomenclature of Colorado’s highest peaks inspired by Club minutes from 1895 detailing the passage of a motion to rename Mt. Evans.
