Commerce City is looking for its next Chief of Police, who will take over for interim Chief Rick Myers in the near future. The city is inviting community members to meet the finalists for the position at a live Q&A forum with the public on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7887 E. 60th Ave.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the final candidates and hear their responses to questions and curiosities of Commerce City residents, employees, and community members. You can submit questions for the finalists in advance of the event online at c3gov.com/PoliceChief. Please submit questions by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 to receive full consideration. Staff will compile submissions into themes and ask those questions live during the event.

The candidate forum will be live-streamed on CCTV Channel 8 (HD 881) and the city’s YouTube channel (YouTube.com/CityOfCommerceCity) for those who cannot attend in person. More information on the candidates will be available once the list of finalists is official.
