Enjoy a documentary watch party presented by Anythink Commerce City Library in partnership with The Denver Office of Storytelling.
The 18-minute documentary “Five Points: A Denver Legacy” is an overview of the resilient and iconic historically Black Five Points neighborhood. In the days of hardline redlining, Five Points thrived with ingenuity and music, with Black professionals finding ways to support Black businesses and Black artists, drawing residents from across the city to experience what was then called the Harlem of the West. The watch party will include a discussion led by producer Emily Maxwell, along with light snacks and refreshments for attendees, while supplies last. No registration is required.
