Meet the candidates for deputy city manager on May 8

The City of Commerce City is revising our organizational structure at the staff level to help ensure the city’s continued success in fostering a thriving, innovative, and well-managed community as it continues to grow. To accomplish this, the city is introducing two deputy city manager positions reporting directly to City Manager Jason Rogers to oversee strategic initiatives and city operations. After evaluation of a highly qualified field of applicants, a total of six finalists are being considered to fill these two important roles.

Community members are now invited to a meet and greet event to hear introductions directly from these six finalists and learn more about them. Attendees will have the chance to visit with finalists, get to know them, and provide feedback for city leadership to consider. Refreshments will be provided.

Deputy City Manager Meet and Greet
Thursday, May 8

6 - 7 p.m.
Bison Ridge Recreation Center (Red Cloud Peak Community Room)
13905 E. 112th Ave.

Working closely with the city manager, City Council, and department leaders, the two deputy city managers will help shape the future of Commerce City through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and commitment to community engagement. The city operates under a council-manager form of government, where the City Council establishes the vision and approves the budget, while the city manager serves as the chief executive officer for the organization, working with departments to implement the council's vision.

We hope to see you on May 8 to meet and provide your input to help determine the city’s two deputy city managers!
