In partnership with the Street Dog Coalition, the Community Well-Being Division is offering free veterinary care to pets for those who are low-income or experiencing homelessness on Saturday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Empowerment Apartments, 5424 E. 62nd Ave.
Attendees will be taken care of on a first come, first serve basis. Services will be offered while supplies last and time allows. There is a limit of two pets per person/family. To attend, dogs should be on a leash and cats should be in carriers.
Free services include:
- Physical exams
- Core vaccinations (rabies and parvo)
- Flea/Tick prevention
- Heartworm testing
- Microchips
- Spray/neuter vouchers
- Pet food/supplies
