Adcom911 now able to receive 911 text messages in Commerce City
The Adams County Communications Center (Adcom911), the city's emergency call response provider, has recently enabled the ability to receive 911 Text messages in Commerce City.

Eagle Pointe renovations pass halfway mark

Letters of interest sought for Ward IV City Council vacancy
The City Clerk’s office is accepting letters of interest for the Ward IV City Council vacancy. On July 16, Councilman Paolo Diaz announced his resignation from city council effective with the August 6 meeting.

Railroad work to close E. 72nd Avenue east of Vasquez Boulevard Sunday, August 5
Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled a full closure of E. 72nd Avenue between Elm Drive and Fairfax Drive on Sunday, August 5 in order to replace the rail crossing in that stretch. This work was rescheduled from the original target date of July 7.

Seized food truck equipment to be auctioned off on August 6
This past May the city seized a food truck company for non-payment of taxes. The city worked with customers to identify their property and release it back to them. The remaining property is being auction off.

New rates go into effect August 6 at both recreation centers
What’s changed? Commerce City resident fee increases range from a .03 cent increase (per day) for adult annual passes and .20 cent increase (per day) for adult monthly passes to $1 per day increase for adult daily admission fees. Nonresident rates have also increased.

CORRECTION: Lighting personal fireworks is illegal in Commerce City
It is illegal to possess, make, use or sell fireworks – even small sparklers – within Commerce City and on June 18 city council held an emergency ordinance and voted to increase the fine to $500 for the first offense and $750 for each subsequent offense.

Tower-Peña project progress: New east side lanes complete
Traffic in both directions on Tower Road is now traveling on the newly completed pavement on the east side of the road throughout the project area.

E. 96th Avenue closed at railroad crossing Saturday, June 23
Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled a full closure of the crossing on E. 96th Avenue for repair work on Saturday, June 23. The crossing lies between Interstate 76 and Willow Court.
